My name is Dani Kelley, and I am an agnostic who grew up in the Plymouth Brethren movement. I blog about broader topics over at Discovery in Writing.
I started this blog because I want to provide a resource for others leaving the Plymouth Brethren movement to see assembly distinctives and theology and practices dissected in a critical, meaningful way.
In the past few years, I’ve found a lot of support and healing through various forums and support groups pertaining to purity culture and Christian fundamentalism at large, but I’ve been unable to find such a place online that discusses the particulars of the open assemblies. So I decided, in the absence of such a place, I would create one.
Stay tuned as I start to write and gather resources. I’m still working on getting this site up and running, so you will probably be seeing a lot blank pages. Have no fear! I’ll be building things out in the following week and hoping to get on a regular posting schedule.
